The legislative act (Reg. No.0903) introduces amendments to the Economic Code and the Law "On Lease of Public and Municipal Property" that enhance the issues concerning lease of public property at its market price, procedure of restitution of leased property, etc.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law on 12 February 2009; however, the President of Ukraine returned the act to the Parliament, having introduced his remarks.
In view of the necessity of coordinating the Laws "On Lease of Public and Municipal Property" and the Economic Code, regulating and promoting relations of lease, enhancing efficiency of its application, the Committee recommends that the Parliament overrides the President´s veto imposed on the Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" (re Relations of Lease).
